Genderly is an online resource for people of all gender identities – we are here for everyone regardless of how they experience or express their gender. Genderly is also for all partners of people whose gender identity differs from the norm, and for everyone who’s an ally or supporter. We’re here to provide information for anyone questioning their gender identity or is simply curious about how gender identity works. All we ask from people is an open mind and a willingness to understand how this thing works for people.
One of our values is ‘Inclusion’. Whoever you are, you’re welcome to browse these pages for information, for advice, or simply to read articles and blogs to gain more insight into yourself or others close to you.
We’re also inclusive of identity – we recognise no hierarchy amongst those whose gender identities differ from the norm. We do not consider that anyone’s identity is more authentic than anyone else’s.
Another of our values is ‘Respect’. We respect others’ identities and expect the same respect back.
Some areas of the site are publicly accessible – these contain things like articles, blogs, and other information sources. We are more than happy for anyone to come along and browse.
Other areas require a user account to be set up – areas such as the member forums, chatrooms, and comments sections for our blogs. We do not ask for any personal information (in fact we discourage people from over-sharing), but we do require some transparency and, like any other site, we want to discourage trolls, spammers, or anyone else choosing to abuse our space. We also moderate actively to ensure that our Values are not compromised. All site members must be over 16 (?)
Genderly is a co-operative, community venture that’s managed by a diverse bunch of people from across the spectrum of identity, including people who identify as cisgender. We’re non-profit making and don’t use advertising to fund our activities. We openly publish our costs and expenses here
This is absolutely not an Adult Content site, neither is it a sexual pickup site. We do discuss issues such as sexuality and sexual health however so we would not recommend that minors access the site other than with parental guidance.
